Recently, police came to know that Gayasuddin had contacted his second wife, who stays at Rourkela. A week earlier, police had raided the second wife’s home but did not found Gayasuddin. However, police again raided her house at Rourkela, and found the thief hiding there. Police said that his wife had even locked the house from outside to misguide the cops that there was no one at home.
Gayasuddin was produced in court and has been granted police custody for 10 days. He had been arrested for looting Rs3 lakh from a railway passenger when he escaped from custody.
